Banana Republic has launched a mini-collection inspired by the cult TV series.
It’s the TV series that’s changed the look of modern TV and put the clock back fifty years.
The award-winning Mad Men, which tells the story of the beginnings of American advertising culture, has now inspired a Banana Republic capsule collection.
The luxury fast fashion chain and the US entertainment channel AMC present the Mad Men collection, a limited edition range for men and women designed by Banana Republic and Jamie Bryant, the designer who won an Emmy Award for his costume designs for the TV series.
The clothing and accessory range has 65 pieces that give a modern reinterpretation to the look of the 70s – and at an affordable price.
The key pieces for women include a cut trench coat in leopard-skin and a silk blouse with a gorgeous bow, while for men there are must-have pieces including heavy wool pullovers and dinner jackets, but also banknote clips, silk ties, tie clips and borsalino hats.
It is a fun, playful collection – but it’s also a high-quality one which fans of the TV series – and non-fans too – will love.
It will be available in Banana Republic shops around the world from August.
