The Coach Duffle bag, which was designed in the 1970s by Bonnie Cashin, is just the sort of no-logo, no-hardware, no-nonsense bag that no one is making anymore. Not even Coach, which saw fit to put this workhorse out to pasture in 1997. But starting June 15, Net-a-Porter is bringing back the Duffle, as well as four other seminal styles from that era, as the Coach Classics collection. Fans of the original will notice only one minor adjustment: an ad for Neiman Marcus in The Dallas Morning News from the ’70s listed the Duffle for $36. This summer it will set you back $398.
