Amy Fine Collins joined Vanity Fair as a contributing editor in 1990 and has been a special correspondent since 1993, covering culture, style, and the fashion. Collins was elected to the International Best-Dressed List Hall of Fame in 1996, and helps oversee the creation of Vanity Fair’s annual list. Previously the style editor at both Harper’s Bazaar and House & Garden and an art historian at Columbia University, she is the author of American Impressionism (Smithmark, 1990), Hair Style (HarperCollins, 1997), Simple Isn’t Easy (HarperCollins, 1997), and The God of Driving (Simon & Schuster, 2004).
(Vanity Fair)
Amy Fine Collins is the pinnacle of style elegance and grace. Her signature pixie cut, sculpted arms and svelte frame lend much to her style. She is that "woman of a certain age" who, I'm sure, commands every one's attention as she strides into the room. Not only does she have an enviable wardrobe, she has the privilege of actually writing about fashion; a job which is perfectly suited for the stylish beauty.
She has been written about on many a fashion blog, and with good reason. Her "well-heeled" image is often captured on the pages of the New York Social Diary, as she is after all, "that woman about town." I will always "follow" Amy to see what what lusciously unique thing that she is wearing; class personified.
