Change is in the air as designers find decidedly different points of view for the Fall '10 season. Throughout Los Angeles Fashion Week and Los Angeles Fashion Market, designers presented their collections to press, buyers and die-hard fashionistas.
From runway shows to photo installations and parties that showcased the designers along with their muses, a range of new styles emerged for the season. Vintage and feminine-inspired looks were prominent, adding a touch of nostalgia and romance. There was plenty of panache, too, with vintage-inspired costume jewelry, gold and silver hues, and luxe furs to accent the look. In contrast, some designers chose to keep the tone somber and sleek with dark post-apocalyptic themes, a black monotone palette and military regalia. Here is a look at key trends of the season.

It appears that designers are ascribing to the saying, "if it ain't broke don't fix it," as they are revamping many of last seasons looks. I personally don't have a problem with it, as many of the looks are amped to the nth degree; something that proved to be quite refreshing and makes for a slew of wardrobe choices.
While I love all the looks, I'm always a fan of sequins and metallics.....I've now added the military looks to my "favorites list." thanks to Balmain, Alexander Wang and Giuseppe Zanotti.
