A Loeffler Randall style for Suno’s spring show
Loeffler Randall will collaborate with Suno for Fashion Week again, designing footwear for the apparel brand’s first runway show.
The two exclusive styles, both caged sandals with different floral prints, were created using existing Loeffler Randall lasts on new platforms and heel treatments.
Loeffler Randall president and creative director Jessie Randall and Suno designer Erin Beatty worked together on Suno’s spring ’12 inspiration boards to bring their third consecutive collaboration to fruition.
“A lot of the elements Erin was thinking about were things that we had also been working on — weaving leathers, macramé, the idea of a shoe within a shoe, ” said Randall. “I showed Erin a prototype of a shoe we had developed as a jumping off point and we went from there. It was an inspiring collaboration, and I am excited to see the shoes done up in Suno’s gorgeous prints.”
Suno was nominated for the CFDA/Vouge Fashion Fund in July. The brand’s first runway show will take place on Sept. 9 at Milk Studios in New York.
