This is by far one of THE most beautiful pieces of the season. A masterpiece turned out by none other than Matthew Williamson. The mix of sequins and peacock feathers is absolutely spectacular. So much so that it deserves it's own page!

IN THE PINK: Continuing its spirited marketing embrace of the fashion industry, Belvedere Vodka has enlisted Matthew Williamson to create a limited edition kaftan inspired by the launch of its new pink grapefruit flavor. The $1,540 garment, in a vibrant pink print, will go on sale at Matthew Williamson boutiques in New York and London on May 13. “My design for the Belvedere Pink Grapefruit collaboration was inspired by the vitality of sultry high-summer evenings,” said Williamson of the high-cut kaftan, which bears the label Matthew Williamson for Belvedere Pink Grapefruit.
Belvedere will open a 6,000-square-foot pop-up space in New York from May 12 to 16 at 414 West 14th Street, opposite the Matthew Williamson store, that will be home to a series of promotional events. DJ Leigh Lezark of The Misshapes, outfitted in a custom-made jumper in the Belvedere print, will host a launch party for the new vodka there, in addition to events with Out magazine, style consultant Bevy Smith and comedienne Chelsea Handler. The Matthew Williamson initiative follows up on Belvedere’s collaboration with shoe designer Jonathan Kelsey last year for the launch of its black raspberry flavor. This year, the Polish vodka has sponsored events for Alexander Wang, Alice + Olivia, Jeffrey Fashion Cares and a raft of New York Fashion Week parties.

Boho dresses and breezy caftans may be the top sellers at Matthew Williamson's recently opened Dubai boutique, but they're nowhere to be found in the designer's pre-fall lineup. Instead, there were city-chic options for the kind of girl who might jet off to tropical climates now and again but spends most of her time navigating the concrete jungle. Slouchy trousers with military-style brass buttons were paired with little structured jackets, including a great brocade version with rabbit-fur panels. Williamson dabbled in rainbow hues for evening, but kept the spotlight on short, structured chiffon numbers. It's great to see him so razor-focused, even if it means anyone on the hunt for the psychedelic prints and billowy silhouettes he's famous for will have to go to Dubai. (WWD)
This is another of my favorite collections. I always favor those collections that are colorful, use a mix of materials as well as details and offer metallic pieces. I love it when a collection can go straight from the runway to a closet without a lot of fuss.
